**Public Appeal for Information Regarding Recent Burglaries** |
||
|
On Saturday 29th November, at approximately 03:30am, we received a report concerning three males acting suspicious in the vicinity of Birch Close and Sheraton Way, Buxton. Officers promptly responded to the report and spotted 1 of the males who fled the scene. Fortunately, we located the vehicle they were using which was discovered to be displaying false registration plates, the vehicle was seized. Regrettably, two residential properties were broken into through the rear doors, which were entered by the method of lock snapping. We urge all property owners to inspect their door locks and ensure that they bear the Kitemark symbol, as depicted in the image. This mark indicates that the locks meet the necessary security standards. If your locks do not have this certification, we recommend visiting your local DIY store to obtain anti-snap locks. We appeal to anyone who may have information or CCTV footage related to these burglaries to please contact Derbyshire Police, quoting reference number 25*698525. You may reach us online or by calling 101
